And above all things be earnest in your love among yourselves, for love covers a multitude of sins.

Back to the base of all knowledge, LOVE.

1Pe 4:8 Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins. ESV

1Pe 4:8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. KJV

1Pe 4:8 Most important of all, love each other deeply, because love makes you willing to forgive many sins. ERV

I keep coming back to the basics. 1)1Jn 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. KJV 2)1Jn_4:16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. KJV 3)1Jn_4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. KJV

We all want to go “deep”, and show ourselves approved.
But in our behavior, I find the basics lacking.
And then the deepness just puffs up. 4)1Co 8:1 Now I will write about meat that is sacrificed to idols. It is certainly true that “we all have knowledge,” as you say. But this knowledge only fills people with pride. It is love that helps the church grow stronger. ERV

Everyone wants to teach and preach.
Give a “word”.
Say prayers that go on and on,
quoting a myriad of verses.
And do not misunderstand,
All of those are good.
Yet, are we willing to take a “back seat”
so someone might come alive?
Will we die for someone to live? 5)Joh 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. KJV
Jesus.

Live according to judgement
Judge according to rules and regulations
laid out in the New and Old Testament
And we need rules, so we do not behave inordinately.
But the way how we apply these “rules”
and how we behave when doing God’s work
shows what is in our hearts.
Remember Steven, Remember Jesus.
were not their last utterances similar?
6)Act 7:60 And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep. KJV 7)Luk 23:34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots. KJV

But the basics.
Faith, Hope and LOVE. 8)1Co 13:13 So these three things continue: faith, hope, and love. And the greatest of these is love. ERV
Don’t judge ahead of time. 9)1Co 4:5 So don’t judge anyone now. The time for judging will be when the Lord comes. He will shine light on everything that is now hidden in darkness. He will make known the secret purposes of our hearts. Then the praise each person should get will come from God. ERV
Don’t judge others. 10)Mat 7:1 “Don’t judge others, and God will not judge you. ERV
Have we not heard of the basis for all judgement? 11)Joh 3:18 People who believe in God’s Son are not judged guilty. But people who do not believe are already judged, because they have not believed in God’s only Son.
Joh 3:19 They are judged by this fact: The light has come into the world. But they did not want light. They wanted darkness, because they were doing evil things.
Joh 3:20 Everyone who does evil hates the light. They will not come to the light, because the light will show all the bad things they have done.
Joh 3:21 But anyone who follows the true way comes to the light. Then the light will show that whatever they have done was done through God. ERV

Have we not heard of the fulfillment of the law? 12)Rom 13:8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. KJV 13)Rom 13:10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
Have we not ever read your commandments? 14)Mat 22:36 He said, “Teacher, which command in the law is the most important?”
Mat 22:37 Jesus answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’
Mat 22:38 This is the first and most important command.
Mat 22:39 And the second command is like the first: ‘Love your neighbor the same as you love yourself.’
Mat 22:40 All of the law and the writings of the prophets take their meaning from these two commands.” ERV

Let’s go back to Christ’s Love, that surpasses all knowledge,
so we might be filled with everything God has for us. 15)Eph 3:17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
Eph 3:18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
Eph 3:19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. KJV

So Lord Jesus,
Please Keep Me In Love With God And My Neighbors.
No Matter What Is Going On Around Me.
I Ask You In Your Name, Amen.
